Diagnosis

Medium-sized, blue and red beetles with antennae extending well beyond pronotum but not to elytral apices. Frontoclypeus with longitudinal groove. Eyes small, finely facetted and ovoid. Antennal tubercles separated apically by deep central groove, removed mandibular articulation. Antennal foramen elevated, with external articulation Antennal scape stout, distinctly shorter than pronotum; pedicel very short and transverse; antennomere 3 shorter than scape. Pronotum transverse, lateral margins with single pointed tubercle; pronotal disc with defined tubercles. Prosternal process narrow, weakly expanded apically. Procoxal cavities transverse with broad lateral extensions exposing protrochantins; open externally. Procoxae slightly projecting below prosternal process. Mesoventrite flat anteriorly; mesoventral intercoxal process broad, weakly notched apically. Mesocoxal cavities distinctly separated medially, broadly open to mesepimeron; mesotrochantin exposed. Elytra without serial puncture or costae. Femora and tibiae not flattened.

Distribution and Biology

This monotypic endemic is found from Cairns in northern Queensland to northern New South Wales (Dorrigo National Park).
