January 2002 : PhD in Agricultural Entomology at the University “Federico II” of Naples (Italy). Thesis on “Morphological and biological studies of Citrostichus phyllocnistoides (Narayanan) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae)”.

December 2002 - November 2003 : Collaboration at research projects on electronic keys of parasitoids of leafminers at the Australian National Insect Collection, CSIRO, Division of Entomology, Canberra (Australia). Grant provided by University of Catania (Italy).

· Biological control of citrus pests
· Classical biological control of leafminers, including introduction, rearing and release of exotic parasitoids
· Biology of Eulophidae, with particular interest in parasitization activity
