Current Mesquite Research

Research is aimed at providing a basis for better long-term management strategies for mesquite, both in Australia and elsewhere. Work is ongoing in the Pilbara region (WA) in collaboration with the Pilbara Mesquite Management Committee and additional studies will be initiated in 2004 across Australia to obtain basic ecological information from the four core mesquite infestations. Funding is largely through NHT.
